How to Play KUSOGE Trick
Objective
A must-follow trick-taking game with no trump suit for 3–5 players.
Play 4 rounds and aim to have the
fewest poop chips by count (not point total) at the end.
Cards
- Number cards (32): values 1–8 in 4 colors (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green)
- Poop cards (20): values 1–5, 4 copies each — poop is its own suit
Round Flow
- Pass 3 cards to your left neighbor (Rounds 1–3 only)
- Stomachache check: a random color is revealed — that color's "6" card becomes −10 points this round (Rounds 1–3 only)
- Trick play: play tricks until all hands are empty
- Scoring: convert penalty cards to poop chips, then apply the round's special rule
Must-Follow & Poop Break
- You must follow the led suit if possible.
- Poop is its own suit — if poop is led, you must play poop.
- Poop cannot be led until it has been played in the round ("poop break"), unless your hand is all poop.
- The highest card of the led suit wins the trick. On a tie, the later player wins.
Penalty Points
- Each poop card: −N points (where N is the card's value, 1–5)
- Number "6" matching the stomachache color: −10 points
Penalty points are converted to poop chips. You can exchange 5 × 1-point chips for 1 × 5-point chip to reduce your chip count.
Round Special Rules
- Round 1 — Start of Winter: No special rule.
- Round 2 — Legendary Stick: Player(s) who won the most tricks return 3 chips.
- Round 3 — Winter Gift: At round end, pass all collected cards to your right neighbor (they receive the penalties).
- Round 4 — Coming of Spring: Poop cards only. No card pass. No stomachache check. Player(s) who won the most tricks return half their chips (rounded up).
Winning
After 4 rounds, the player with the
fewest poop chips by count wins. If tied, fewer total
minus points wins.
